People seem to forget that the human body is essentially unchanged from when life expectancy was 35 years. The difference today is education, vaccines, environmental regulations, weather forecasting and all the other things the Trump administration is now obliterating.

I have ancestors from the 1600s-1700s who lived to be 90 or 100,
but the graveyard my parents are buried in has way too many young children, many of whom died in groups from diseases,
especially in the 1700s.
