I think from their perspective part of the problem is that places like PA and WV will only elect moderate-to-conservative Dems so if they want to have a majority in any given year they have to cater to those places. It puts them in a bind. They can't get a majority without 18-20 conservative Dems.

It could be a good thing for the left to have a lot of centrists in the primary to cannibalize each other's votes. The danger is if they all rally behind one centrist, which might not happen this time around in 2028.

We need a shadow government, and we need it fast. Blue states should to set up alternative services, agencies, depts. Hire those fired. We also need to have an informative public discussion about the need to defend the Constitution from a clear domestic enemy.

That's what I don't get. All of these independent associations make ads to prop people up during their campaigns but when we're in the thick of it, there's nothing. Funding, sure. But hell, there are thousands of us working for free every day to keep hold of our freedom.
