Question for Keir Starmer:
Now that your Chancellor has identified that it was...
"Their [Tory] Brexit deal, which harmed British businesses,"
when are you going to reverse it?

Prob a 10 year process IF every eu country allows us to rejoin
And if you were the EU would you start the process when one of the 2 main parties would bow to bring us straight out?
The eu will want both tories and Labour to be pro eu before they engage
Personally I don’t think he has a negative attitude towards youth mobility, it’s a negotiation tactic. It was rejected because of the cost to the university sector and similar detail issues that can’t be conveyed in soundbites.
Oct 2, 2024 — Starmer has resisted the proposals so far, telling reporters last week that he had “no plans for a youth mobility scheme”. ..
Sounds pretty negative to me.
Does that tell you that the UK has made it clear there’s no youth mobility or that they have other issues & the media may not be entirely accurate!🤔

All seems a bit moot when it's just 1 & 0's anyway
Thinking Brexit was a mistake and being willing to go through actual change to resolve it are very different things.
It is in fact much more according to Bloomberg.

Joining the Single Market will already prove a bridge too far for many because ‘immigrashun’🙄 And that, we have to thank LAB for too, sadly.
Then again, RFM will fish in the same voter pool as CON. But GRN and LD voters could receive LAB votes…
The implication behind those VERY carefully chosen words is " another form of deal might have been less destructive "
It is very clear that Labour will not anytime soon say that the actual 2016 Ref result was a massive error
I expect reality to be less interesting
IE BS
Labour can just do the electoral arithmetic, that's all
But he led Labour to beat Tories out - they were shit
Whether "red Lines" is helpful in thrashing out a deal with EU I've no idea - if I had to guess I'd say it wasn't
But he wants to win 2029GE - maybe that's why
Here is Hansard.
"its [the Conservative party's] Brexit deal".

"...Their austerity broke the National Health Service, their Brexit deal harmed British businesses and their mini-budget left families paying the price with higher mortgages...."

Nonsense, of course: there is no Brexit better than membership of the EU.
We should get on with making a limited deal(s) to get closer to the EU without trying to rejoin. I think that is what Labour think also
Sophistry, since any form of "leaving" retaining FoM would have been politically unacceptable & without FoM damage is inevitable
But I also get that Labour probs feel they have to be careful what they say or the media will trot out the old "trying to reverse brexit" line.
But I heard it was yes or no, if UK left EU, there was no coming back - at least no easy way back in
We know that too, negociation's endless !
Cameron was, as Obama observed, a political lightweight.
