Perhaps now progressive parties around the world will understand that it is not enough to fight to win elections; you must fight to convince people that democracy can improve their lives.
Otherwise you are just keeping the seat warm for an autocrat.

This has been the big failure. Never talking about how progressive policies improve people’s lives.
Or, at least not in ways that are meaningful to folks that don’t live and breathe policy.
