This is cool. I used it to talk to my son about close ups. Because of the fact his education focused on life skills (he has autism), he never got to experience art classes. He likes taking photos, but needs a little push on taking them more creatively.
Someone gave me a hand me down camera when I was about 8 years old and it definitely became an extension of my art and how I see the world. Itβs been a lifelong hobby from film to digital and now mostly my phone.
Until we're sure this is his thing, I don't want to invest in a camera. But he's always taken photos on his phone. I never thought much about it until his new doctor pointed out most autistic kids have a gift. We just need to discover and nutter it.
If it helps, I rarely ever use a camera these days. My phone is just fine. And if it is something he ends up loving you can always invest in better apps for the phone.
