The last three days in Argentina have confirmed fears about the new president, Javier Milei. With an incredible police presence, his government tried to suppress protests on the streets in front of the Congres of Argentina.

While parlamentarians were fiercely debating about the Omnibus bill, the police used batons, pepper sprey, rubber bullets and water cannons . The long stated goal of security minister Patricia Bullrich was to prohibit protesters from gathering on the streets around Congress to keep traffic moving.
Squadrons of police motorcycles scared and frightened people in Buenos Aires the most. They fired rubber bullets wildly, injuring protesters, journalists and passers-by.
