I had a short conversation with Anne Rice on Facebook years ago and it is still one of the highlights of my adult life.

i got an email from Rand Miller (creator of Myst) one time when I responded to one of their newsletters and it was so special

these things seem so trivial but it’s like a moment of incarnation for some piece of fantasy you’ve spent a lot of time with

These works often times are a lifeline (it was for me anyway) and they are such a huge part of our lives.

I don’t think they’re trivial. I even met her once and she signed a stack of my 1st editions.
