I seriously cannot recommend moving to Heliosphere enough for mod makers and mod users alike. The interface for modmakers is wicked cool - being able to reuse perms and templates is killer, uploading new versions is easy as hell, and it auto-updates mods for users. how sick is that - ThreadSky

Actual content moderation exists. A useful tagging system. Rules that make sense. Anti-AI stance, against data scraping. my personal experiences with anna, the dev/creator of HS, were nothing short of lovely - especially since they were user error. i am very bad at websites

my biggest hesitation to moving is that it just … does not work or connect me to their system when i try to download anything. :( i don’t know if it’s a firewall issue or something requiring a vpn but the plugin just does not download anything from the site. is there a faq?

The only criticism I've got for Heliosphere is that the search function feels really inconsistent, and the filters in advanced search could use a couple more specific mod category filters. However, I feel XMA also suffers from this, and Heliosphere is just miles better in every other regard.

I fucking LOVE the variants feature, especially since I'm insane and try and do cross body compatibility, uncompressed normal file sizes kill me 😭 I wish I was able to upload mods with extensions other than .ttmp2/.pmp, given I often give out resources for people to use, I have host on xma or gdrive

Just keep in mind that they are per version, but there's a setting to copy them when you upload a new version (which is on by default, I think?)

ive been using helio pretty exclusively since dawntrail and as a…. really long time mod user lmao it’s by far my favourite experience as both a consumer and a creator. it’s such a boon for the community!

Yeah, my experience for sure has been really good. I feel so bad when I fling a good 1gb of mod files at it, but alas, skin modding lol. We suffer in normals. Auto update is amazing. I'm supporting Helio now because I think it's worth it.

i had accidentally not clicked the email verification for bmm’s first account so i couldn’t access it but it was still hosting some mods and i had to make a second account and contact to get the old one deleted and anna was SO kind to me despite me being a total moron LMAO

JSKSJSJSJSJ. no that's totally fair! I had to remake my TGD account because I made it with my personal and thankfully I could delete it and remake it with my modding email, but AGHHGGG so don't worry, we all fuck up LOL Anna does amazing work and I'm so glad y'all got it sorted
