I travel with a mouse, and never use the trackpad on a laptop. I'd prefer the laptop not have a trackpad and just move the keyboard closer to me.

oh my goodness, i cant believe youve been editing without a mouse all this time. ive been editing videos for over a decade and i tried it without a mouse for TWO DAYS in 2020, and i couldnt cope. congrats.
