Changing up Mardi Gras plans due to my body’s check engine light coming on 😩🫠 (surgery scheduled in about a week.) My partner has never experienced MG before. We have a usual spot further down with family, but it's good to know other options.

I found a few recs on Reddit posted a few years back. Curious if any bsky peeps have first hand experience/recs. I have friends along the route, and their house is usually base camp, but they are in the middle of a huge reno and understandably not doing parades this year.

When I would visit from out of town, I loved getting passes at the Columns hotel. Inside bathrooms, access to bar and restaurant or just the porch if you want a breather.

I see a lotta comments say Columns(which I never knew), I remember the Zion Lutheran Church(further down St Charles) sells bathroom passes, & Rays Uptown(on corner of Prytania)is selling some too
