Tomorrow I’m taking to the floor in opposition to the nomination of Russell Vought. An instigator of #Project2025 who failed as OMB Director before should not oversee America’s budget.

So, a questIon. I know that invoking cloture on a nominee requires only a simple majority nowadays. But is it still possible to do the actual old-school filibuster, and not yield the floor?
It's frightening, watching what's going on.
Have those Republicans all lost their minds.
Letting him get away with dismantling the government.
Now he wants to go over into a foreign country and take over....
Why should we forget them? They are the reason these nominees are getting approved. Some Dems voting for some nominees is stupid messaging, but doesn't affect the eventual outcome.
Hell Senator, you and your compatriots should walk off the floor. Until, at least, Musk is called before a committee to explain what he’s doing and held accountable for his numerous overreaches. That’s much more important than bickering over confirmations. Stop Congress’ slide into irrelevance.
As we discuss the future role of the Office of Management and Budget it is important to remember its origin and first principles as “an impartial, impersonal and nonpolitical” staff that serves the President.
Really? A) have you even read All of the Project 2025, and B) I would like to know if you objected to the absolutely inexperienced Shalanda Young's running the OMB under Biden?
Much appreciated. Better yet, oppose any and all nominees until musk and his merry band of hackers have been ejected or arrested. As we all know NO ONE ELECTED HIM. This is not a business as usual situation. More of a hair on fire kinda thing.
I am glad you oppose, but how is it that the dumbest member of the Senate, Tommy Tuberville, held up Biden DOD nominations for months all by his lonesome, and yet the Dems aren’t able to do the same? This is a sincere question. Are there different rules now?
The bottom line for me, and I think I am not the only one who feels this way, is that the nomination process for every nominee should come to a grinding halt until Musk is removed from government computer systems and no longer calling the shots.
This is how I feel. The party just shows up to every gun fight with a knife. Time to toughen up or we’re gonna be at the mercy of the #LiarInChief and #project2025 forever. This is no longer the age of the liberal snowflake. This is the dawning of the militant liberal age.
We’ll start taking you seriously if you stop going home for the weekend, and not a second sooner. Unanimous Consent. This is a constitutional crisis, act like it you coward.
Since Republicans control the calendar, I'm not sure what hanging around on the weekend is supposed to accomplish, unless the GOP suddenly comes back into session to force through a nominee they somehow couldn't eventually approve regardless.
Again, how does staying on the weekend, when there is no Senate action scheduled, wear down the opposition? Do you expect Demicrats to declare a quorum and vote down nominees? Because I think you have to be in charge of the Senate to do that. But I could be wrong, in which case, sure, ley's do it.
My lay understanding is that to recess for the weekend under current procedure requires unanimous consent. One single senator can force extended debate and other procedurals that take up to 30 hours for any individual denial.
I haven’t been able to get through to your office yet today. But you are RIGHT ON, Senator. Every @democrats.org needs to be voting NO on this nominee. He is a MAJOR threat to anything remaining that America has to stand for.

You think Marjorie Klu Klux Klan thought about bipartisanship when she lodged impeachment article for Biden on day ONE?
You need to obstruct EVERYTHING, don't leave it to your people, BE A LEADER!

it's all about separation of powers
your Republican colleagues don't seem to have ever read the Take Care Clause or the Vesting Clause let alone what Madison said about men/angels/govt
they're saying "Trump's an angel, he can do as he likes"
▪️ No more business as usual.
▪️ Vote NO on every Trump nominee.
▪️ Force Republicans to fight for every single vote.
▪️ Shut down the Senate.
When we need a strongly worded letter to save democracy, call dems.
But I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for them to start fighting for us.
