If the voters think there's a lower rung on the ladder to be mad at, they won't pay attention to the people at the top of the ladder kicking the whole thing down.

I blame poor regulation more than anything, especially in Canada, zoning laws like lot coverage maximums have done so much damage to the housing market.

Houses should not be an investment. A house is a home, a human right, not as investment vehicle to exploit for as much profit as possible. Landlords very existance IS the problem. They ARE the bad guys.
If you want lower rent and house prices, allow developers to build more properties. Landlords also tend to moonlight as property developers, cut the nimbyism and house prices with come down.
That's because what you said is nonsensical. Landlords take housing and rent it for profit. Property managers for rental purpose built homes are not the same as landlords.
A lot of landlords also develop, they absolutely can and do both rent properties and build/redevelop. Landlords don't 'take' properties, they buy them on the open market.
Occupancy rates of rented property trends to be higher than owned property which actually contributes to reducing house prices.
That's true. Eyes can see, ears can hear but the brain has to accept the message. Hopefully ppl will realise one day the corrupt goverments are really to blame to this mess.
Imma be honest, I see no difference in my feed from when I didn't reply and used the hell out of the "show less" button, and when I started posting this image. It quite literally hasn't changed

Why would they want to take it away? It's not as if there is some sort of secret cabal of landlords conspiring to keep rents high.

Incessantly is another thing entirely.
