Or any non-Southerner doing a Southern accent. The majority are highly noticeable and not great. Like nails on a chalkboard. Just don’t do it. You don’t have to have one.
I’ve got my Texas accent. People seem to think it’s hilarious. Nobody seems to understand when I pull out the southern idioms. Well my friend from Georgia does, he loves watching me just insult someone up and down and how clueless they can be.
I’ve lived in outside Texas for 11 years now. I am usually able to misplace it, however when I’m having a migraine or am tired it comes back and sometimes refuses to be misplaced again. It’s a stubborn thing.

Especially when they’re supposed to be from a big city & not the boonies…probably not gonna have an accent.
What word was the hardest to try to say without the accent?
