What would they hunt to live on?

What practical benefit would they bring that foxes don’t?

Alongside massive rewilding projects, the return of apex predators like wolves and lynx should be implemented now. Ireland is one of the last European countries where the rewilding of large tracts of countryside and the reintroduction of extinct predators has not happened.
