It’s all a stall. That’s all they do is stall, stall, stall. You see it today: “Take a 30-minute break to read the documents you should’ve read before now”.
How much damage can they do with an extra 30 minutes? It’s just mind-blowing that the courts continue to let this happen.
Reyes notes that a key study relied on by Hegseth for his transgender ban actually concluded that transgender service members were *more* deployable and had fewer lapses in service than people diagnosed w depression who are not automatically excluded from service.
UPDATE: Reyes now walking through every finding of the studies Hegseth relied on for transgender ban. Virtually every finding cuts against Hegseth's conclusion that it supports the ban. She wants to know why she should defer to his "cherrypicking" and "misleading" analysis.
I just read his Federalist Society bio and Manion graduated with honors from Harvard, has presented in front of the Supreme Court, and served in all three branches of gov. It's bizarre that he would feel comfortable going into this high profile case effectively blind.
True but holy cow that must have been embarrassing and also a terrible look for a young lawyer doubtlessly looking to climb the ladder. Maybe sacrificing oneself on the altar of Trump is the new way to rise on the right.
We all know what the Trump Admin argument will come down to: BATHROOMS
Bc wmn in the military are so fragile (🖕BTW ) that having a trans wmn within a 20 mile radius of a shower STALL will completely destroy our existence…just ask Nancy Mace 🙄
I find this to be incredibly disturbing. Lawyers — ALL LAWYERS— have a duty of candor to the court.
Many (many!) years ago, an attorney opposite me on a case, misquoted a decision, implying it favored his client when it actually did the opposite.
You never saw such a tap dance on a head.
I saw a judge tell a lawyer that "if you lose your credibility with me, you lose it forever." He told a different lawyer, "I know you've seen this case because you cited it elsewhere in your brief."
That’s absolutely right! If you lie once, in the judge’s eyes, you’re a liar forever.
Even if the DOJ lawyer didn’t care about morality, it’s professional suicide.
She definitely read all the reports & is ready to make the DOJ stooges answer some tough questions, which I am pretty sure they Won't have any answers for.😏
Not the hard-working, impressively expert immigrant kind… but the manipulative, self-enriching kind who look down on the intelligence of others with contempt.
While making stuff up works just fine with the MAGA crowd, judges seem to want to actually be told the truth. This has got to be hard for the Musk/Trump crowd & their legal beagles since they wouldn't know the truth if it popped up and bit them.

They are not going to listen to “stern words” or a “chewing out”, just like Musk and Trump aren’t going to listen to stern court orders.
They only respond to jail. Everything is to avoid jail. Put them in jail!
