Probably not. Final Cut on Apple Hardware is pretty optimized. Anecdotal evidence, but when I've tested the same projects on Premiere and FCPX, FCPX 6x'd render speeds. If you're just doing basic editing (not compositing or doing color grading to the extreme), I don't think I'd go for resolve either
