I’m not ready for the real death toll in Gaza

Israel’s goal is to kill as many Palestinians as possible — directly with weapons or indirectly via a manufactured humanitarian crisis — while pretending they are ‘fighting Hamas.’

This grants their Western backers plausible deniability over the ongoing genocide.

I have talked to multiple people who say it’s not a genocide because “only” 40k people are dead and folks say they “might” reconsider at 200k and I want to be like “my brother in X it’s already 200k”. This is one of the few times where I’d gladly be wrong. So not ready for when the numbers come out.
