Researchers at the London School of Economics have found that 50 years of tax cuts for the wealthy have not trickled down to the middle class and only served to help the rich get richer.

There's no change coming. These hateful people are vacuuming up every last cent from the non wealthy and look to profit off of putting the homeless in camps with taxpayer funding.

The thing is, UBI _would_ end up making rich people richer in the long run. When more people are able to do more than just survive, the economy _grows_ (it turns out having more customers is good for business).
Rich people are chasing short-term gains over larger long-term ones.
