Fyi, there are a lot of very gifted Dutch actresses who can speak English very well. So we, the Dutch don't have to cringe when we hear yet another native English speaking actress/actor trying to speak Dutch. I always say, give them a chance to show it. ☺️😉

The movie is called The Red Head. The Nazis were terrified that an unknown red-headed girl was going around shooting Nazis. This was Hannie Schaft, who, along teenagers,Truus and Freddy Oversteegen killed hundreds of Nazis. They also performed espionage that saved many thousands of allied lives.

Sooner or later they will stop playing nice and start murdering like the Nazis did - if we wait until they start murdering us, the fear will be extremely hard to overcome. By 1940, most Germans were conditioned to accept whatever the Nazis did. We cannot wait until that happens here.

Protest, strike & fight them whenever possible, wherever possible, We all need to care for each other & stop being reliant on anything they do offer. I know that won't work with a lot of things, but it will give them considerably less to use as leverage against Americans when the shit hits the fan.

Yes. Way back in history it was known that once people live long enough to judge from their own experiences it's virtually impossible to change their minds. So rulers would focus on the young who don't have the experience to know if they are being lied to while exterminating those with knowledge.

I think it’s family lore & stories. My grandfather (who fought) & my grandmother (bombed out twice & 1st husband) made sure we grandchildren knew about the suffering (if not the details). Americans haven’t had a war in their own Country in living generations & have lost this connection imo.

Check out Sophie Poldermans,"Seducing and Killing Nazis". I've had much interaction with her. she personally knew two of the surviving girls who killed Nazis. Hannie Schaft was bravery incarnate.

Though the 1981 Dutch film about Hannie Schaft was an admirable effort, it was so underfunded that it could not properly tell Miss Schaft's story. This is by no means a criticism of the brilliant artists involved. My film is based on multiple historical sources including the public Dutch archives.
