i can see myself learning some managerial soft skills to try and coordinate the insane amount of AI-powered products by then. like that Balenciaga video, but for building high-fidelity "in silico" experiments, etc.

for better or worse I've always had this mindset that I'm always going to be okay regarding work. maybe it's over confidence, but I just feel like I can step into any profession and very quickly become proficient/make enough money to survive

im just not convinced this is the full scope of what’s possible. an AI could take initiative to start its own company, build a team of self-improving agents, create strategy, create a brand, etc.

there’s basically nothing that remains untouched. open to being wrong if an example is given

As someone who did a little hardware, and a lot of friends who do hardware, I’m going to say that’s further off than you think. Maybe an accel with AI, but don’t think it’s overnight

I don’t believe we’re getting there any time soon. Despite the hype, the models we have now are still dumb as bricks. If your job is googling solutions and copying and pasting, you’re in trouble.

I think that is the moat and that is the job. its finding the next thing to do once your thing becomes obsolete. do it enough times and you'll get good at it, or you'll die
