I expect him to be a year 3 or 4 on the ballot guy to get in. Will take a while for the argument to be made in the shadow of some really strong ballots this year and coming up

If you’re strictly looking at offensive numbers, particularly peak numbers, then of course he’s not in. But there are plenty of folks out there that think HOF voting should consider significantly more than that.

I don’t think he’ll make it either, but it’s not a hard no like people assume.

I have never been one of those guys who compare stats of one HOF'er vs another just to get outraged. I'm one of those folks who think the total picture of the player, as both a player and a person should be important.

It can tell the story of baseball, including Zobrist's role in it, without inducting him, which is an honor that should remain reserved for only those players whose careers are unambiguously exceptionally great.
