I felt it was more a B-/C+. Music was lacking and the plot was really thin and held together with rubber bands and paperclips. Overall I enjoyed it but don't have a need to watch it again where the first one is a movie I have watched countless times. Also I can't tell you any memorable songs from 2.
Beginning good, ending good…middle not so much (crab section versus bat section). Much like 1st one.
Music isn’t as good as LMM’s..but the general take seems to be that it’s an abject failure. It’s not. Kid loved it so thats all that matters. When she asks if she can get a ‘chee hoo’, she gets one.
An A-? Wow, what an achievement. Let's canonize it next to 'Papers, Please' and 'Deus Ex Machina'. Or better yet, 'Sharknado'. Now where's my Wubba Lubba Dub Dub sauce?
I'm baffled by this. The movie has a clearly stitched together feel where the first and last thirty minutes feel like the entirety of a TV show and the middle is essentially 2-3 episodes cut together to make sense of the overall story. (Obviously what happened) None of the songs were even that good.

Like a movie has to be a dumpster fire *and* make people mad for it to get less than a B. Like, Red One got an A-.

I mean, it’s not the worst movie ever, but it’s not amazing either.
