To be clear I hope he meant parents or guardians should take children under 13 to PG-13 movies and children under 17 to R rated movies and watch it with them. Because more of that should totally be happening.

I'm reminded of how Christopher Nolan made a similar "watch it in theaters" plea for TENET, a movie that is much better appreciated in home viewing where you can pause it and take notes to help you figure out what the hell is going on.

I think Tenet tanked because of COVID keeping people out of theaters, if everyone saw it and was all confused like inception, we would all say it's confusing but thats Nolan and we love it. Instead no one saw it and blamed it on being confusing. Which wasn't a problem for interstellar or inception.

One thing he doesn’t understand is that people haven’t stopped going to the theater because it’s better at home.. it’s because it’s gotten too expensive. A family can easily spent $100 between tickets, popcorn and a soda. So you gotta be picky with what moves you watch in theaters.

I'm more focused on keeping *me* alive. With a looming bird flu crisis, an administration that considers medical science to be unacceptably "woke", and a populace that considers basic public health precautions to be Big Gummint tyranny, that means avoiding crowds.
