It doesn't have to be that way. And if people have that expectation of you, frankly, get different people.

I'm not saying go to AA, but if you can find one sober person to at least hold you semi-accountable, it's super helpful.

We're addicts, so if we only rely on ourselves to get through it, we'll 100% always find an excuse to drink.

I have since started hanging out with old friends who have also quit drinking. It makes not drinking soooop much easier!
