Oops... I mixed apples and oranges. Turning off QP is a setting. I also filter QP posts out because I can't [easily] tell to which post I am liking. Some people do QT instead, and that's what I still need to filter. It makes me miss posts in my feed, but it makes things easier to follow.
It's one of the first things I turned off when I joined. It's a great idea, and seems to be a lot of fun, but I get side-tracked too easy and end up behind on what I want to accomplish. Still need to filter "QT". No complaints yet. TBH, I didn't know it gave a notice when someone tried to QP me.

I didn't realise you could stop people quote-posting your posts. It's tempting. Have you had any complaints?
But in #atproto it's a property of each post rather than your account – so I guess each new post is tagged with your current setting. Interesting :)
