I remember the singular time my parents agreed with each other- I refused to stand for the pledge and say this was a nation under a God I don’t believe in…Big trouble from the school. Both my parents and my step mother were NOT having it. Cussed those folks out clear up to the superintendent.
I never understood that whole "pledge of allegiance" stuff. Mostly because the kids who are taught to say it, say it without any understanding what it is supposed to mean.
Now, everyone understands a full stomach, right?
