Finland's state broadcaster was just Suomen Yleisradio (Finlands Rundradio) and didn't really have - or need - an acronym. So for international purposes, they just used the first three letters of the company name in Finnish instead of a proper acronym.
Yeah, that is as usual the Norwegian language charm for us Swedes haha. 😄

Today that shortened form is the name everyone uses for the company. It's Yle all the way and in every context. (The nerd in me finds this really sweet and amusing.)

Swedish rundsändning is a direct translation of Broadcast.
In German, they often use words like Rundfunk -ish. :) My guess.
