He kept a gun that could have been easily destroyed. He showed his face when he could have kept it hidden. He went to a public restaurant after his picture was published.
It’s jury nullification in the US, and I’m fully expecting that. It turns out we had the saying wrong all along. It’s not “X can shoot someone in public and get away with it,” it’s “someone can shoot X in public and get away with it.”😈
Can we all agree that we have more info on this then we do on the Trump shooter from June. Now this is the story and still no med records from Trump.. no “clear” motive, nothing. Is that not suspicious to anyone else?
It is VERY suspicious. I think about it every time there's a publicized shooting, which means about every wk in USA. I've never heard of such a hyped high-profile "shooting" that had so little info released. Haven't even seen significant info from or about the parents--were they paid to be quiet?
Right?! Even the one at the golf course seemed to me under covered. I fee like we would still be hearing about it. We absolutely should have heard more about right after the election.
Both seemed staged or at least overly hyped. When I learned Crooks had stood out to fellow students as ultra-conservative & that Black Rock had used local kids in a commercial, I got the creepy idea they noted his ideology & need for recognition. I wondered how they ended up filming there, etc.
Luckily, Mangione has already submitted the paperwork for his run for the presidency stating “I could shoot somebody on 5th avenue and not lose a vote”
Really, charges? Do charges even matter in New York? If they do, why wasn't donnie made to do his time? People are killed and raped everyday, but somehow this rich guy's life was more important than anyone else's? How insanely Fkkk(ed) is this?
Jury selection is really going to be something. Attorneys will certainly want to probe into prospective jurors healthcare history but how much will HIPAA regulations allow?
I think it’s struck a nerve with people. People unlocked a very unpleasant experience of UHC. Too many people losing loved ones because they didn’t get care they needed.
I think it goes beyond unpleasant experiences with UHC. It about the masses getting screwed over time and time again by corporations & the wealthy playing by different rules than the rest of us
I don't often call for jury nullification to happen, but if even one juror sticks to their choice not to lock a guy up for this, then it's a hung jury. If all 12 do, then he's off
And I suppose since it was a rich guy, they might keep taking it to trial until they don't have a hung jury. I suppose it's too much to hope for a full jury of those who have been wronged by health insurance.
Good luck finding a jury that will listen to this unbiased. As soon as the question gets asked, "Have you or anyone that you know been screwed over by an insurance company?" Everyone who answers honestly will need to be dismissed.
Between the police putting out a GQ mug shot (makes me think they don’t want to find him either) & Luigi being a Swiftie, I just can’t see how they’re gonna find 12 people to convict.
A jury still has to find this kid guilty (he’s younger than my kids). This story is just so strange all the way around & he will have top defense attorneys.
I do not condon violence, but I understand why Luigi felt like he was ridding the US of a predator who made money by refusing to pay medical benefits to the families who needed them most.

They didn’t need Columbo for this guy.

Thanks.
In the meantime, the Mayor, responsible for public safety, is still under indictment for bribery, corruption, and abuse in power.
Is anyone bringing up the AI lawsuit? It seems relevant with the kid being a computer engineer. He had posts about AI on his Twitter

Publish the name of someone even before they are charged with a crime? Only in the USA, a failed state 🙄🤨
I'm sad now

MSM doesn’t care about the everyday people. That’s the perspective from wide swaths of Trump voters. We tend to chase sensationalism.
