And now they're trying to cut 50% of the workers for SSA. Which will inevitably mean it doesn't run properly, and then they'll scream about how inefficient it is so they can replace it with a privatized version funneling EVEN MORE MONEY to people like "the twitter guy"
Yea, cutting headcount is not a real savings—not unless the reduction is sustainable. Sustainability demands a deep dive into process, technology, skill sets, & organizational design BEFORE staff reductions happen.
The cost of replacing a role can be up to 200% of the original salary...
These cost include recruiting, onboarding, training, lost productivity, and disruptions. Simply, short-term staff cuts without structural change don’t save money.
Continuing to expose low executive literacy and lack of strategic thinking of the "leadership" in this administration.
It's defines the exact definition of waste of resources, abuse of power, and fraudulent actions. It's shows how completely inept this administration is.
Check out the canceled contracts list on doge website. General stuff like Adobe, Cisco, Github. They're going to have to re-contract most of this stuff. Can't wait to see the increases... 🙄
I'd be demanding a "sign-back-on" bonus to compensate for stress and anxiety they've been put through. Complete ineptitude at every level of this administration.
They send an email firing people.
They shut down access to government email.
They realize they F'd up so reach out to these fired employees. Using government email that now goes nowhere.
I’m so confused. On one hand, I want them to stand their ground and not take their jobs back but on the other hand, I don’t want Trump placing more of his cronies in these positions. What world am I even living in anymore?
These aren't glamorous or powerful positions, these are people who work to keep the country operating as it's supposed to. Trump yuppies can't effect policy or decisions, they can only screw up and kill people, they also need a lot of training. They're not interested.
Big question is are they offering entry level benefits or are they giving back what long term employees had earned with tenure? (Sick time not paid out upon separation etc...)
But they never forget to launch their snitch websites. The new one is https://enddei.ed.gov. Let’s help our Black and Brown students with the REAL discrimination that’s taking place in schools
Probably career employees who’ve served many years and only let go because a promotion to supervisor restarts the probation clock for a year. However if they are a new fed…ain’t no way.
It’s funny bc when they say ‘they’re gonna run the gov like a business’ bc this is exactly the bs corps do everyday lol. I’m convinced the only reason corps some make money instead of lose it despite this incompetence is only from abusing/grifting/leaching off the systems they’re now fucking with
Ah the hubris of the obscenely wealthy and thinking that someone’s wealth is a direct reflection of a persons intelligence…(I once met a super rich kid who genuinely straight faced told me he believed that ‘Only smart ppl get rich, and ppl only stay poor bc they’re to stupid to figure it out’)
A friend told me her 24 year old niece completed FBI academy and two weeks after starting she was fired. I calculated that cost the govt $180-$200,000 between recruiting and training. Complete waste of money
True. fElon seems to be costing us more & disrupting people’s lives as a result. But tbh, billionaires can’t relate to regular, paycheck-to-paycheck, working adults. And neither can the Republicans

Musk seems to be demonstrating why no company should ever have him as decision manager.
Scary times. They are invading our agencies from within.
