My aunt a retired paraprofessional buys all her necessities from Amazon. I pay for them. I spend about $200 a month. We tried going to each separate company. From the 1st of March to now. I’m over $300. Please forgive the seniors from boycotting. My aunt lives $1000 a month.

Walmart is as bad if not worse. I have shifted most of my purchases to local/thrift for years. It really is possible, and ultimately comes back in spades. Studies even show that the value of your home goes up with a healthy mainstream nearby. Use em or lose em. @theamiba.bsky.social

I just paid off my Amazon credit card and cancelled it. Next to go is my Amazon Prime membership. I can shop at the Dollar Store, Canadian Tire and and Costco and get all of the same items at better quality for the same price without the political interference.

I know several people who are boycotting Big corp (minus Costco)
Main focus is to support small businesses that these large companies historically have driven out of business. Shop and buy local. Buy directly from farmers etc. it will make - bigger impact and help those businesses who need it

I stopped using or am actively replacing Amazon, Target, Walmart, Facebook, and Google for over a month for numerous reasons, including DEI and influencing politics. I'll consider those companies once there's actual bans on them contributing to politics and they show a spine. But less. Shop local.
