There are a few big differences from what I've seen:
1) Bigots get chased off
2) People are generally respectful
3) When there is drama it's usually hilarious
4) I never get pushed random rage bait
5) Art and cats galore!!
Some cut all ties with the Hellsite - some leave it open, to maintain links with contacts too stubborn (or whatever it is) to move, &/or to "challenge evil".
