N64 games have mostly escaped the price spikes of the past few years, and there are some genuinely fun titles in that library. Also, consoles like the NES, Game Boy, and Genesis/Mega Drive have rich homebrew scenes of developers making new games for those consoles (including my Game Boy game Kudzu!)

Between incoming tariffs and continued talk of AAA(A) publishers aiming for $100USD for a base release, there’s no better time to look into building a library of older games and consoles.
