so I went to my regular clinic for a follow-up visit. my expectations were BELOW sub-zero, farther than that if that’s even possible.
I just hoped I’d be treated adequately, you know? maybe get someone to believe me when I said I only wanted compression stockings until I can buy my own custom pair.

I’ve been professionally diagnosed with POTS by a cardiologist, I’m working on a possible EDS diagnosis, and I’m going to be officially diagnosed with a SLEW of mental issues very soon here when my one-year assessment with my therapist hits.

I was scared I’d just be called lazy (in a professional way, of course) again. told that this ER doc was correct on everything.
she was horrified when I told her that the ER doctor told me to “go to community college so you can get a job and provide”.
mortified further when she insisted that I take a medication she had given me NO warning of side effects for.
she was even FURTHER disturbed by the interaction when I told her my living situation.
she suggested also working with agencies but I told her that we weren’t irresponsible with finances. we just needed a few months to save, that’s it.
she listened, expressed condolences for the treatment.
she even said it was traumatic.
