Obsessed with how you render textures and colour every time 😭 you always make everything look so rich and have such depth, you can always see EXACTLY how something would feel if you reached out and ran your fingers over it or held it in your hand, whether it's skin, fabric, ceramic, etc. so good
These are absolutely great 💕 If you ever want to expand the collection eastward, hit me up - I once made a list of links to similar vessels from ancient China for a friend, and could easily extend it to include the rest of East Asia 😁
Is this offer open for just random people intetested in art? I'm not really an artist or writer for anything, but I would love to just.. learn about some new art.
Hm well it would be awkward as a Bluesky list, but I do have a somewhat underused blog and could make a list o' links. I also mostly post about my work (as an art historian) here although when I get busy the content tends to slip toward nerdy c-drama commentary.
I actually made a reproduction in my highschool world history class of 13.) the Owl Aryballos. It’s my understanding it was a little perfume bottle of sorts. I love its rounded shape and the bold mosaic-like design on the wings. ✨
Genuinely love these little guys, prehistoric/early history animal figures have always been a huge interest to me, just little fellas with big eyes and stubby legs
Since I got asked this a few times; yes I’ll have a limited amount of prints of this and transparent sticker sheets!! Shop opens on the 25th and ill post a reminder here when it’s live :)
I'm so excited for your shop to reopen! I literally put it in my gcalander cause I know I'm forgetful and want to make sure I get an art book and first pick of prints 😂🥰
i want to own all of them, put them under eerie light and scream at my friends DON’T TOUCH THOSE when they come over, implying a presence of an ancient curse
Honestly, this is a great resource to see a sample of animal art from across a wide variety of cultures.
I hope it interests people enough that they will look into anthropology or archeology!
I especially love the hedgehog-bear and the weeping frog.
Ive been rrrrly wanting to draw & paint the lion man zoomorphic carving! Other than that I’m a bit out of my depth though so I’ll have to do some more digging!

But a blogpost sounds great! Then it could be linked to others!
If maybe a fair amount of work..
