I started this image back in 2023 when the anti-trans laws were appearing again in multiple states, banning HRT treatment + separating kids from their parents.

I felt so triggered and frenetic, I spiraled for many nights being reminded of how I used to live/ feel/ hurt.

HRT saved my life. It is one of the reasons why I am still alive/ choose to be alive.

I wasn't in a great place in 2023, I misused my sleep drugs (high dosage) and mixed it with weed to numb myself out, which made my emotions harder to navigate.

The longer I stayed up, the higher I got. The incoherent text around the art are a result of those pained emotions. I felt like there was no point, I felt so fucked. [I am no longer on these meds, nor am I doing this.]

I came back most nights to work on this but put it down for a long time.
