... depending on where you are. I saw something really bright just above Taurus, and something in the west that set already. Maybe that was Saturn. Its cold out so I am spending less time than I would.

I went to my local planetarium tonight and saw Mars, Jupiter and Uranus. I teared up on seeing Uranus, never thought I’d get to see that planet with my own eyes. Incredible stuff.

Great first attempt. Need to reduce exposure. Next step is to get a wedge for your mount to track the sideral motion, take lots of photos and then stack them together.

Thanks 💕. I spent some time outside earlier this winter with some high powered binoculars on a tripod and managed to pick out some cool stuff like the Pleiades cluster. Which was neat because I’ve “been there” in games like Elite Dangerous. Nebulas are so cool though, could stare at them for hours!
