Only about an hour on iOS, but I’ve got the Switch and PS5 version in the wings for when I’ve finally freed up some time. I’m a little turned off by the reputation of its second half’s difficulty spike.

it looks really lovely, i've been taking a bunch of screenshots as i go thinking it would be cool to draw a map later. a lot of files had reference to UE5's Nanite & Houdini for the environmental data and it seems like a lot of interesting tech is being used under the hood

They're great aren't they. Metaphor had something similar which I liked too (less striking but integrated with shops/quests). If I had one way to improve, would be to have them contain some of the journal picks ups. Would make them feel just a bit more connected/add texture to the world.

Yeah, the single screen environments usually somewhere in between important locations. I think I actually conflated these and the minor towns in my original comment (the minor towns IIRC are also single static screens but they are the ones that have shops/sometimes quests linked)

What did you think of metaphor anyways, I thought it was it was of Altus bests. It doesn’t fix any of persona’s flaws but it made them less relevant/annoying.

Really loved it, its sitting second on my all time turn based RPG list. It was actually first Atlus game I've beaten (have put 10 hours into P5, dropped it as it didn't perform that well on Switch Lite but will return to it some day on Steam Deck). It's been a good few years for the genre!
