Building a bathroom in a basement. So far: Saw concrete floor and install drain system, frame the walls, level the concrete under the tub. Everything has worked great so far š¤
Yeah, we hardly do dry wall residential here in Germany. Most walls are brick or concrete walls 12 or 15 cm.
Or you do real timber frame buildings, but those wooden beams you use look so tiny compared to what we use in Germany.... that's why I thought you're building a shed or something :)
Load bearing interior walls in Germany however are usually 17.5 cm and outer walls 30-60 cm, depending on the age of the building. Modern buildings usually thicker.
