Honest question- It doesn’t appear like there are many people acting like they agree with this- Why aren’t more people doing things (offline, in DC). Where are our political leaders?

My honest answer is that DC is not the place to look for what people are doing. Look local and you will see people organizing. It’s not enough, but it’s not the case that people are taking this lying down. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=1EMDl2t-YxE
