Richard Widmark also often played racists and villains and he felt so bad about the racist comments his character said to Sidney Poitier’s character in "No Way Out" that he kept apologising to him between takes.

Robert Ryan was brilliant in it. I also love that Ernest Borgnine choreographed the fight scene with Spencer Tracy to make his own duffing up by a one-armed man more convincing.
