Being a car guy, I’m fascinated by the lack of pushback by many of the same pro gun/anti restriction folks regarding EV’s and the eventual “taking away” of their internal combustion engine. 🤷

Having grown up around guns in Wisconsin, I understand people not wanting to lose their guns, but to restrict the use of a style of gun (AR15) that was designed to impart massive damage to human combatants - c’mon. We don’t permit machine guns. So sad. People want to fight vs solve a problem.

It's actually not the guns at all. It's the people, it's the culture, it's the absentee parenting, it's giving access to people who are way too young to own a firearm, and it's the irresponsible storage of firearms.

This is the part that always gets me. If you’re old enough to be a national politician you are almost certainly old enough to remember when this wasn’t normal. Something changed to make it happen, so we should be able to make changes to reverse it.
