Treason's a strong word - they are certainly criminals, to be sure. Using Signal alone is a crime, setting aside all the other things they're doing. Undermining the government has been the GOP goal for so long that I'm not sure that is considered treasonous anymore, just SOP.

It's not like there isn't enough evidence to build a case with - he's not even hiding it at this point.
1) “Treason” as defined in the Constitution is an extremely narrow definition that has an extremely high bar to meet
2) “Treason” as used colloquially is considerably broader
Both can be true at the same time, and we really don’t need to argue about it!
But, yeah - we're never going to know the details on this. You're right there.
If you use Signal, and you know it is not secure, and you know Iran / Russia are probably listening, and post what is now shown have been posted, how is this NOT : "providing intelligence...etc."
I would pause on this on the basis that the intent was not to let other services in, but to avoid transparency/records rules. And, also too, and in addition, we can't fail but to recognize how incompetent these people are.
And I'm not saying these dumb dummies aren't trying to undermine the system of government as stated in the founding documents and a couple centuries of legal history. These dudes are all deserving of being mocked and derided as modern day Benedict Arnolds.
