I'm also only using the app (but perhaps it's different in Android 🤔).
It should work just like any other feed, but instead of e.g. your likes, it shows all your posts with a 📌.

Android doesn't have a bookmark option yet. I can't save anything on here.

Yes, the red pin is a work around. You comment on something you want to bookmark with the 📌, and then this post will appear in your 📌-feed.
