Marching/protesting is our greatest tool. Please remember to march/protest appropriately & to follow the law. They are just looking for an excuse to abuse their power. Don't give it to them.
Omg is this for real happening at mar-a-lago? Where is the meeting point?! We were trying to organize something there for the Feb 5th protests but people on Reddit were like there’s no way you could get close to Mar-a-lago so we went to WPB courthouse instead

You will have a much better turnout if it's on a weekend. It's short notice (again) and on a Monday. We all want positive changes to happen, but ALSO have to eat.
Honestly, Georgians have been protesting their election results with huge turnouts EVERY SINGLE DAY for over 70 days. This is what it's gonna take. Americans need to wake up.
I agree! I think weekends would be best. Obviously if people can & want to do it during weekdays definitely do it & on the holidays! But we should try & organize on a weekend as well. I had to call out for the 5th, a lot of people who wanted to go couldn’t bc they work weekdays.
Yes I agree. It’s just been a struggle to find weekend ones. This has been the concern of a lot of people from what I have seen. Big numbers would be good & I think weekend events would bring bigger numbers. But both are necessary!
Politicians don't work weekends unfortunately. Coming together to fight the injustice that has come upon us will require some sacrifice.

I think Monday the plan is to visit your local State Rep’s Michigan office to have a peaceful demonstration. My rep is republican Lisa McClain with an office in Lake Orion so that is where I will be. Does anyone have plans for protests in this area or would like to collab with me for Monday?
Is anyone worried about coordinating country-wide protests that could give reason to declare martial law? I’m all for protests but wouldn’t it be better to stagger and concentrate instead??
Not worried... We are peaceful protesters , exercising our 1st amendment rights! There are many protests happening all over the world. Consolidation brings more energy and focus.

I think we should use, "never again" which I've seen on signs and on Reddit, etc. It pulls power from history and links what's happening today to fascism.
I agree. He’s horrible, but elected. Focus on what he’s doing. Slash and burn, shock and awe, breaking things with no care for consequences or his own people. Not upholding the constitution. Etc. Stay on message. And musk has got to go.

Not participating unless there’s going to be some noise. Voters are angry and scared, damn it, and they need to show lawmakers what that looks like and what it sounds like. Saving our democracy is way past the standing quietly and holding signs protest.

We need labor unions to work together to strike. What’s happening with the illegal takeover of gov’t agencies will affect millions of Americans’ jobs. We need to shut the country down for a day/few days to chase El*n/doge out of our gov’t agencies.
Not just the workers, but the PURCHASERS too. Limit what you spend in whatever way you can to keep money out of their pockets. The less we spend, the less they have to use against us.
