Slotkin understandably wants to believe the ticket splitting in MI was based on her being better at getting R votes. I think it’s more likely about unusually high numbers of Trump voters not voting at all in the Senate race—Slotkin got fewer votes than Harris.

She literally campaigned with Liz cheney. People are using ms harris' campaign fact free for their own agenda. Changing candidates weeks before the election, racism and sexism were hard enough to overcome. I feel she was too centrist but I understand her calculus.

People can tell when a fight is coming (or already on); when that's the case, they often admire and prefer someone who presents as a fighter — even when that person might be a terrible choice for the particular battle.
