You mean as "Dragon Quest VIII S: Journey of the Cursed King - Definitive Edition?" I agree! It would have the content of the 3DS Version, with Both Synthesized and Symphonic Soundtracks, and the added benefit of HD Graphics, as well as some new stuff added, if necessary.
I lost my memory card during a move. I was at the end. All I have to do was collect the 7 souls or spirits then off to the final boss. I’ve never finished the game as I never found it and my ps2 died shortly there after. I loved that game.

when they announced the remake, was so excited till i realised it was on 3DS, don't get me wrong, it was great, but at the same time, wished it was on modern consoles
