I’m kind of in the same boat. I got a degree in art because it was the best degree for me. But I still had a handful of people tell me that I’ve wasted my time and money.

I hate that too, and I REALLY hate that we're railroaded into only taking certain degrees (unless we have unlimited $$). I think learning because you adore the subject matter is so wonderful, yet anyone who takes history/liberal arts/etc. is laughed at for a "useless" degree.

I tried for a bit, but I just couldn't force myself to care enough to jump through the hoops to get somewhere that really paid. It just hurt too much to stare into that void.

As much as the stability of making 2-3 times more would be nice... I'm glad I have that bit of humanity left.
