Out of curiosity, how close did she get? I was the only liberal in my rural Arkansas town. We were close to the MO border, and I knew one liberal in MO.

She lost by over 50 points. But she still shook up that race, got so much attention, and caused Republicans to pour a lot more money into it. Political efforts often don't result in instant change. You have to do this consistently for multiple election sessions to make a difference. She knows this.

The problem is that the Democrats kind of gave up in a lot of areas after the gerrymandering basically disenfranchised voters. I understand why... But leaving a ton of races uncontested doesn't help! Then, people stop voting altogether. In all races. On all issues. So we can't keep doing this.
