Tie it off tight with dental floss. hurts for a while but then will drop off after a couple of days

I once cut off a teeny skin tag with scissors when I was bored in a lesson at school and those things do not stop bleeding. Quite the mess I made....

Not my area but I have looked into it as I have an annoying one on my eyelid! Apparently DIY is dicey in terms of bleeding, scarring and infection risk if not sterile.
Doctors will either snip thin ones or cauterise thick ones, sometimes with lidocaine to numb the area. Still too tight to fork out.

Some of the smaller ones come off if you twist them round...but they do bleed. And slef-removal not advised if they need biopsy or anything.

I can neither confirm nor deny that they bleed like buggers if you try to cut them off at home 😬
