This is actually a redraw of a piece of concept art I made while coming up with the idea for Ghosts of the Future. I would have been 13 when I did this, I think.
The sense of scene, composition and emotion was all there. I love seeing evolution like this! You knew Sonic was cool as shit, and dedicated your life to showing the Sonic in your heart to the world. The most noble cause of all.

Seeing these guys again has me tearing up, I used to reread this comic a bunch to marvel over the art improving over time & redraw panels so I could study how to draw the cast at different angles
